Joachim Karl Greve - Drums

Born in Recke (Germany) Joachim started playing the drums at the age of 8. Turning professional after finishing his national service as a conscientious objector at age 21. At the time he played in several local bands and for the Quasi-So Theatre in Ibbenbueren winning two national prizes for "Best Play" in 1988/89. During his professional career in Germany he spent most of his time playing drums for the Pop Group "SMILE". Other activities included playing for the Dieter Teuber Trio, Monika Maesker and gigs in the Osnabrueck Blues Scene for Angela Brown amongst others. During that time he studied drums at the renowned Dante Agostini Drum School completing his 5 year long studies by being awarded two 1st prizes in both Duesseldorf and Paris on graduation. In January 1999 Joachim moved to London for a change of career. In London he performed, recorded and toured with the following artists, bands & musicians: Chaka Khan, Rain Pryor, Earl Green, The John O'Leary Band, Damien McCabe's Real Feel, Award winning singer-/songwriter Chantelle Pike, Positive Arrogance (Russia), Lars Lillo-Stenberg (Norway), Arteast (Turkey), Drumming Stage Show RAW and TRASH! An Explosion Of Percussion (UK & European Tour 2000/01), London West End Show 125th Street, Dominique Vantomme (Belgium), legendary Bass Player John McKenzie, James Lascelles, Andy Cortes and many more. In 2009 Joachim moved to San Francisco. Here one of his first gigs was the recording session for Regi Harvey (CD "Mine's A Little Different, Too" just came out). On the scene he met guitarist Mike Miranda and ended up joining his band Los Diablos De Amor. Apart from that he plays different gigs on the scene creating a reputation as one of the best drummers in the Bay Area.
